Childhood
Seeing images of children playing always evokes memories; times spent on a beach, watching a special performance, or just playing in the street. Childhood is special, but in the early 1900s it was shorter than children enjoy now. Some worked from an early age; they all left school at fourteen. But here, in these photos, most responsibilities are out of mind - many of these are reminders of the good times given over to fun and freedom.
