Maritime
The collection has 2,000 maritime images. These include yachts, trawlers, paddle steamers, cargo ships, ferries, liners, warships and submarines. The images were captured in Barrow Docks and Walney Channel, and other Cumbrian ports, along with Fleetwood in Lancashire. The photographs were taken between 1903 and the 1960's - with the exception of the war years.
