SS Newfoundland Departing Barrow

View of forward port quarter of ship heading south in Walney Channel with Walney Island in background. Passenger Cargo ship built for the Warren Line. Was a mail ship to Canada. In WWII she was converted into a hospital ship. She was bombed and sunk as she approached Salerno in 1943 with the loss of 38 lives including her doctors.
