HMS Cassandra At Speed
1917
View of starboard side of ship at sea. Suspect ship not in Royal Navy service as rope hangs from forward fairlead - and several men seen on deck some not in white uniform. Image does not show ship with flying-off deck and hangar which were fitted after August 1917. Part of the Caledon group of C Class cruisers. Launched by Lady Moyra Cavendish in 25 Nov 1915. Commissioned in June 1917. 29 Knots. Mined in the Baltic in December 1918 when operating there during the Russian Civil War.
