Launch of TSS Otranto
Pre 9 June 1925
View from starboard launchway of stern of ship several days before launch from Vickers Armstrong - slipway at top yard.. Launchways not greased. Workers are seen on the deck, by rudder bearings, by the propellor, between launchways and on the left. Launched on 9 Jun1925 for Orient Steam Navigation Co Ltd. She served as a troopship from 1939 to 1948 before resuming her trade to Australia. Scrapped at Faslane 14 June 1957. Similar to 8358.
