A mixed-age group of young school children, boys and girls, in the playground of a primary school which was once stood on Harley Street (off Dalton Road). It was replaced by a Spiritualist chapel, around 1893. They are dressed in specially made outfits, possibly for a school play or an event like an Easter celebration. This was one of the first schools in Barrow town. Dalton Road, Wesleyan Church School back yard, Hindpool Ward. 25 children in costume, posed.
