Steps down to bandstand where concert is in progress. All seats filled around bandstand and many people standing. Bandsmen have peaked caps. View east over the bowling greens and tennis courts. Further away is the long white building of Risedale Secondary School (closed and demolished in the 1960s) and tall chimney. See A406
