Abbey Road Barrow-in-Furness
Late 1930s
Abbey Road looking west towards the statue in Ramsden Square from the junction with Hartington Street. Note the traffic lights and the post box. Salvation Army building on the right and the tower of Barrow Technical School (now in 2021,the Nan Tait Centre) further on. No tramlines in the road. Mostly men walking and sitting on benches. Parked car and cyclists.
