Abbey Road, Barrow-in-Furness
c.1940
Looking north-east, from Ramden Square, the tree lined Abbey Road stretches into the distance. On the immediate right is the Conservative Club (now closed). A number of large buildings stand on each side of the road with wide pavements between them and the trees. The domed tower of Barrow Technical School (now Nan Tait Centre) rises above the trees to the left. Cars and buses in the distance, various people going about their business.
