A pleasant day sees many enjoying the attraction of the extensive public park, with the County Borough’s cenotaph on the horizon. People sit, stroll, play putting or enjoy the lake where a family returns their rowing boat as two young men attend to another. In a discrete section of the lake, three small, hand-operate paddle boats are enjoyed by children as a large group of children watch, perhaps enviously.
