The Park Barrow

An elevated position offers a good view of the south side of the park’s facilities including bandstand, tennis courts, crown green bowls, putting, pavilion, clubhouse and boating lake, all surrounded by well-tended grounds and flower beds. A fenced corner of Risedale secondary school grounds and their playing fields are visible beyond then the roofs of Newbarns and Abbotsmead and, further away, the rolling drumlin topography of Low Furness.
