Going for a Sail
c. 1913
View looking North on the beach, just South of Blackpool Tower. Crowds of people on the beach and on the Promenade. Children and adults paddling. Smoke above the Pier suggests a steamer has just departed. Horse and cart in foreground, probably taking trippers to a boat. Vesta Tilley advertised on the building next to the Tower. Her Farewell Tour was 1920. The Tower is advertising The Four Seasons.
