Early 20th Century
Looking northeast at a very busy Blackpool beach scene backed by Promenade buildings, the base of the tower and, behind, the big wheel outside the Winter Gardens. Promenade hotels include the Royal, Palatine and the New Inn & Central. Two fishing boats adjoin the Promenade while further along bathing machine in the background is used as a pay office for sea bathing.
