The image is looking across a road to the imposing domed Central Library, the building has contrasting stonework and below the dome to either side of the entrance are six classical pillars. There are people crossing the road and walking on the pavement, men, women and some children. Horse drawn carts line the left side of the building and to the right is a hoarding with a poster advertising an Art Exhibition.
