County and Lane Ends Hotel Palace Theatre
1904-1915
The photo shows the County and Lane Ends Hotel and Palace Theatre across the tramlined road from us. In the foreground are two women in light 'boater' style hats walking past and a lady with baby in a pushchair stops to look at the photographer. The Big Wheel is in the background. Many people are promenading the wide street, there is a horse drawn 'Liptons' cart, and adverts on the Palace Theatre for Wilkie Bard and 'Ivanhoe'.
