A crowded beach with well dressed men ,women and children, some seated and others standing.The tide is turning and people are paddling, swimming and or waiting to enter one of the two bathing huts near the pier. The people on the promenade are going towards the pier and many walking on the pier itself. The large sign on the building to the left of the pavilion denotes 'the World's Fair' . Louis Tussauds Waxworks opposite the Pier.
