The view east across Ormsgill Reservoir, just north of Wilkie Road. In the background women walking on the embankment. In the foreground men and boys crowd around curling players. Some wear skates. Several curling stones on the ice and one man has just sent his forward towards the camera. The ice behind is crowded and spectators line the embankment. In the background is the cemetery with the Roman Catholic Chapel on the left, and the Church of England and Non-Conformist Chapels on the right. A small dog on the left.
