Bonfire On Beacon Hill
1911
A large unlit bonfire built using large pieces of waste timber and various tree cuttings. At the top a flag flying in a strong wind from a pole. The flag is either a Blue Ensign or Red Ensign. The bonfire is located on Beacon Hill which is a small rise on the coast about 500m north-west of Rampside and is viewed looking north-west towards Barrow.
