Tram on Bridge Road
22 July 1911
Bridge Road looking North West. Open top tram Number 6 approaching, advert on front for Worthington beer. Lamp posts left, railway line right bounded by a wooden fence and brick wall. Beyond wall are rows of terrace houses, adverts on gable end. Railway trucks on track, one loaded with coal or rubble. Road is very dirty, workmen are cleaning it, pile of debris to side. Cyclist and dog. Large chimneys in distance. The tram line was moved from Ferry Road to Bridge Road and the inaugural run was 22nd July 1911.
