Barrow Ironworks from Walney Channel
Early 20th century
View looking north across Walney Channel to the Barrow Steelworks. This is a large industrial complex with many tall chimneys. Several chimneys are issuing smoke which is being blown eastwards. The tide is partly out leaving several boats grounded on the channel sands in the foreground. Two other boats are moored mid channel. Single house on left edge of picture.
