Duke Street, Askam
1910s
View north along Duke Street from the corner of School Street towards the station. The first large brick building is the Police Office. There are posters or adverts on the railings. One looks to be showing "Recruits Wanted”. Further along the street is the Co-op building and the signal box by the level crossing gates. A woman carries a baby wrapped in a shawl and another has a toddler.
