Village Hall and Bowling Green, Allithwaite
c. 1908
Looking up Church Road from the Quarry Lane junction. Newly built wooden Village Hall and embankments leading down to a roughly levelled patch. Three workmen with shovels and barrows are working on the site to prepare the bowling green. St Mary’s Church on the top of the hill with spire on left. Top right there is shoring on the side of a house (see 2159/2160)
