South Lodge, Holker
Early 20th Century
A winter view of the South Lodge to Holker Hall, showing part of the gates, and the estate houses in the village on the road to Haverthwaite. The Lodge has an ornate wooden porch (now -2021- colourfully painted), and the front is covered in strands of creeper (but no longer -2021). Built by Paley & Austin; now a grade II listed building.
