Looking north along a wooden promenade at sea front. Lady holding young girl sitting on the edge of a slipway and looking into camera. A wave is breaking against the slipway and causing a plume of water behind them. Other people mostly ladies are walking or standing on the promenade, ahead of them is a wooden building with sign stating "Ladies Bathing Place” Various other buildings and headland in distance.
