Looking South across a very calm lake towards a group of buildings along the shore of the lake. Four steamer boats are moored alongside the buildings. Smoke or steam is issuing from the funnel of one of the steamers. Across the lake on the opposite shore is a large house surrounded by trees. A wooded hillside rises behind the house.
