Head Crag from the Railway Line

1910s

The twin tracks of the line between Kirkby and Foxfield make up much of the foreground with the scattered buildings of Head Crag and the skyline of Kirkby Moor beyond. This settlement is between Sandside and the main road at Marshside. There is washing on the line and a newly mown field with the grass laid in rows.
