Market Cross
1910s
View of the Market Cross standing on a stepped plinth in a small cobbled square near the centre of the village. Opposite is the Hope and Anchor with John Burrow licensed to retail wines, spirits, ale, beer and tobacco to be consumed on the premises. Two men outside, one holding a horse. One woman walks away while another looks from her doorway. A dog lies in the road.
