A General View Workington

1920s

View Northeast from a church tower over streets of housing alongside a River Derwent. Pinnacles on roof show that it is St Michael’s Church near the railway station. New road runs alongside river, turns left over bridge towards a long terrace of houses on North Side. To left is Church Street with Caroline’s Temperance Commercial Hotel in very poor state of repair.
