View west from St Michael’s Church tower over streets, the Harbour and the River Derwent joining the sea. Railway track and wagons on both sides of harbour with cranes. Several chimneys, tallest probably the gas works. Station to left of bridge with signal post. Several horse drawn carts and a wooden caravan bottom right. Advert for Keatings – cough medicine. Some small boats at moorings. Washing hanging out to dry. See 6172
