View east up road at the corner of Church Road with the square tower of St Mary’s Church at the top of the hill. People standing or sitting on the parapet. On the corner is William Wright grocery and provisions shop with a datestone 1882. There are adverts for Brasso and Cadbury’s chocolate. Two men are sat outside on a bench. The signpost has Workington 2 miles and Maryport 7½.
