Lighthouse, Southern Harbour Wall,
1920s
Portrait view along the southern arm of the harbour with the lighthouse marked as "Fixed White” on maps. The light is on a tall pole with an iron ladder leading to a balcony accessing the lamp. There is a wind vane on the top. People are sitting below the lamp and on the sea wall. In the distance the chimneys of Moss Bay Iron Works and the Dumfries Hills across the Solway.
