Coach Road Estate
1920s
View north west from The Gardens towards Coach Road and St Begh’s Catholic Junior School with the bell tower. Houses appear new built in brick with no established garden and with gates and gate posts but no fencing. Man by flatbed lorry with two more standing in the last garden. The first houses on the Coach Road council estate were occupied in May 1921.
