St Cuthbert’s Catholic Church
1920s
View of King Street coming west into town before Market Hill. Wall to the right is the Convent of the Sisters of Mercy and then the church itself. On the left, Accrington Terrace curves away to the end brick house where a woman is kneeling at the last house scrubbing the front step. A man with a walking stick walks away and someone stands with a small child alongside.
