Portrait view of the Cenotaph consisting of a base with two semi-circular steps, stone rectangular wall and sculptured bronze lion. Inscription in black lettering on two sides of the wall -1914 - 1919 TO THE HONOURED MEMORY OF THE MEN OF MORECAMBE WHO FELL IN WORLD WAR I. THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE. Winter Gardens Pavilion is behind on the far side of Marine Parade. Packed horse drawn charabanc passing.
