Loading Peat

1920s

Two horse drawn wagons stand alongside each other in rough grassland next to a stack of dried peat blocks. Three men and a lady are loading the wagons with the peat; they may also be cutting and stacking more peat. A wheelbarrow also loaded with peat stands behind the wagons, the wheel of a second barrow can be seen on the right of the picture.
