Looking north west. In the foreground is the Market Cross with curved stone seats to right. The three storey Cooperative building is to its left. Skelgate bordered with houses on both sides curves away to the right and uphill behind the cross. Two people walking down the hill in the road. A large gun with an iron fence in front of it stands at the side of the Cooperative building.
