Looking south at the tree-lined promenade along Bowness Bay in front of the with a number of pedestrians enjoying the early-morning sunshine. A number of men, some possibly ready to hire rowing boats to visitors, admire a large open-top touring car pass by in front of the steamer pier. On the right, also standing by, are the uniformed chauffeur of another open-top tourer and the driver of an open-top carriage, both patiently awaiting their next 'fare'.
