Early 20th century
Looking west along the Town or South Quay towards the distant Prince of Wales Dock as the sun begins to fade to the west, almost creating a silhouette effect. A rail crane is on the quayside, alongside which stand a steam tug and another relatively small vessel. In the centre of the water (the South Gut) a rowing boat has three men on board.
