Ireleth Road

c1925

Looking east up Ireleth Road, Askam, about 500m from the railway level crossing. On the right, a terrace of four houses with front gardens faces the fields. Pedestrians and a dog walk in the road which winds around some large trees while it climbs the hill. An array of houses, some stone, some rendered, spreads almost randomly on the upper slope, among which may be seen the sign on the gable of the Bay Horse pub.
