Bandstand & Promenade

Early 20th Century

Looking northeast along the Promenade, near the Bandstand and footbridge over the railway. Two girls are at the bottom of the ramp to the beach, and pedestrians look over the scene from the Prom. The landward end of a jetty can be seen, and the Esplanade sloping up to the clock tower. People sit on benches, and folded deck chairs rest against the railings.
