Looking northwards over the ornamental lake towards the Grange Hotel. The war memorial is bright, suggesting that it is new (unveiled 11 Nov 1921). Trees are in full leaf; people sit talking on benches, and ducks swim round the lake. Smoke rises from the hotel chimneys.
