Mardale Church

Early C20th

A view of the drowned church of Mardale (last service was August 1935), largely hidden by trees. The church flagpole pokes above the trees, and there are hills beyond. There are at least 5 cars parked on the road to the right, and the picture may have been taken from the gardens of the tea rooms, the sign for which can be seen.
