View up Church Road from above the Quarry Lane junction from an unidentified high point. Wooden Village Hall has wire netting above embankments leading down to a roughly maintained patch which was intended as the bowling green (see 2158). St Mary’s Church on the top of the hill with spire on left. Sankey’s Morris in the street below with hats, coats and cases on the back seat.
