The Fishers Sand siding on the Stank Branch line
Mid 1920s
The entrance to Stank branch serving the mines which closed in 1900. Beyond the allotments on the left are sandstone terraced houses of North and South Row in Roose built for Cornish miners who came up to the area to work in the mines. A single decker bus is approaching the crossing on the way to Rampside.
