The Esplanade, Ambleside
Mid 1920s
View east across Windermere at the head of the lake taken from a boat. The Esplanade is a terrace of four-storey buildings between the shore and the main road to Kendal. The Swift of Barrow is moored at Ambleside Pier. No passengers are aboard yet but it now has steam up. The Teal is leaving with a full load of passengers. See D627/31
