Maryport Rough Sea

View north from the start of the North Pier along the sea wall at high tide with waves crashing over onto the road. This is the industrial area below the houses on the cliff. There is the flour mill with the tall chimney, the long low buildings of the tannery and the Gas Works at the far end. To the right of the chimney on the cliffs is the Battery.
