The Gorge, River Duddon
Mid 1920s
View north up the River Duddon high up on the western side of Wallowbarrow Gorge showing the steep drop down to the river from Raven Crag. The opposite side is largely wooded with the prominent summit of The Pen standing out above the trees. This is an area of large boulders and deep pools. The water level is low and the river itself is hardly visible.
