View north along Bootle main road (now A595). Sun Hotel to left various other buildings to right side of the road. Buildings on both sides are close to road with only a narrow cobbled pavement. Man pushing a motorcycle and sidecar combination down the road towards the photographer. Petrol pumps and war memorial at road bend in distance, tower of St Michael and All Angels' Church above the buildings.
