Wordsworth's Seat Rydal

Looking south from a field towards Wordsworth’s Seat, this is a small rock outcrop with steps and a sitting platform cut into it and situated close to the shore of Rydal Water. The Seat is surrounded by trees through which Rydal Water can be seen. The Ambleside to Grasmere road passes bounded on both sides by stone walls passes between the seat and the photographer.
