A broad valley covered in fields, trees and scattered groups of buildings runs northward and is surrounded by the high Cumbrian Mountains. Along the skyline from left to right are Wetherlam, Wet Side Edge, Wrynose Pass, Pike of Blisco, Crinkle Crags, Bow Fell and The Langdale Pikes.
